Every Little Kindness is Counted!
In our daily lives, many points come when we can share very little happiness to make our day more happy and cheerful. But we do not try. When I was in primary school, my friends and I used to bring our lunch for break-time. We would have been sharing these lunches. Someone would have butter and bread, another would have paratha and achar. If anyone had not had lunch but still he would have been a part of this “sharing”. This little kindness and sharing had a complete pleasure which I miss now.
Maybe Amal Academy wants to refresh that spirit which we had in us to be kind to others. I was to perform any 5 acts of kindness around my surroundings. Here we go;
- Gifted a book
One of my friends studies Accountancy. Whenever he visits me, he curiously asks about the collection of books I have. Today I decided that I must gift him a book which might make him happy. I sent him a picture of the book and then called him to tell him that whenever he visits me next I have a book as a present to you.
2) Had a positive conversation with a friend
I sent a message to my friend to thank him for standing always with me. I can say that he is one of those rare people who share his shoulder when I am sad or need someone to share my thoughts. He always encourages me in public and criticizes me in person for improving me where I lack. I thanked him and sent him a message full of prayers for his future endeavors.
3) Spend time with mother
This year, I had been at home and spend most of my time with my family. But today I especially sat beside her to thank her and tell her “how strong and kind woman she is!”. Her heart was warmed with love and she prayed a lot for me. Indeed our parents pray for us but our little kind attitude can melt their heart and fill it with cherish.
4) Helped a junior
My junior asked for little favor to help him with his assignment. I was busy but I approached him immediately as I got free. Shared some resources with him and encouraged him to reach for any help without any hesitation.
5) Made rice for my younger sister
I have only one sibling. My younger sister. We fight and care for each other a lot. She loves cooking and making different dishes. I enjoy eating those dishes. So today I thought, I should cook something for her so that. I literally do not know how to cook. But the least I could do for her is that I took daal chaawal (MAMA MADE TODAY) and mixed it with egg and fried it. But I was not expecting that she would like it. She appreciated and enjoyed it.
So, these were few acts of kindness I practiced today. Every act of kindness has its pleasure and makes others happy as well.
Keep practicing little acts of kindness on daily basis. Because every little act of kindness is counted to fill your and other's life with happiness, calm, and love.
